After about a month of breaking them in you will find that they become part of your feet. There is no irritating feeling between the toes because the band is band is made of fabric and folded outwards.
I have had the same pair for the last 6 years without any problems. I just bought another pair because I wanted to get another color.

My new pair is very stiff and the strap is very tight,but not to the point it can not be worn. It may need additional time to form to my feet.

from Sterling, VA on 5/9/2008These have a great soft & comfortable feel on your feet. But like most shoes, these require a little breaking in period. The leather strap is a little tight on the feet. I expect this to expand a little after some wear. I have a size 10.5/11 foot size. I ordered the XL and it was a close fit.
Delivered quick and in good condition. These are shipped in a plastic bag. Did not effect the product at all.
from St. Louis, MO on 5/3/2008Both my fiance and I LOVE these sandals. They are super durable, but also age/weather nicely. After wearing them just a few times, they "personalize" themselves to your feet and fit like a glove.

from OH on 4/26/2008This is my second pair of Rainbows. I bought my first pair 4 years ago and wore them everywhere. They are STILL intact but I got them wet one too many times and the leather has faded. I tried the womens' sizes but they are too narrow. These are without a doubt the best pair of shoes I have ever owned. The only downside is that they take a little bit to wear in, but once they do... fit and comfort are perfection.

I know that weird but anyways... they're great.. they will do.. I wear rainbows all the time Love them.. Look great with anything...

I love my rainbows. I have every color except blue and red ! I'm 10 years old but the still fit really good. I found out they were the cool things to have so My mom brought me to the mall and she bought all the ones i wanted! They are the best flip flops i have ever had! Really good looking too.

from FL on 8/18/2007I love Rainbow sandles. I have had a pair of these for over 3 years wearing them at lease 3 to 4 days a week. Mine still have so much tread on them.What company do you know that will replace your sandles if they break? When I recieved the sale coupon in my email I instantly went on and bought 2 more pairs, a different color for me and a pair for my husband. I have tried to tell him to buy a pair of these forever but he thought that they were just too expensive and that he would rather pay 20 bucks for a pair at [...]. He has had these just a few days now and LOVES them. He said that he would buy another pair without a 2nd thought that they were defiantly worth the $. He want me to order him a 2nd color and says that he wishes that he would have listened to me all this time. Try them out you WILL NOT be disappointed. P.S. in case you didn't know they actually mold to your feet. The oil from your skin breaks down the leather and makes them softer and molds them perfectly to your feet.

from Frostburg, MD on 8/14/2007great sandal... and i'm a strong size 15 and these sandals seem to come out quite a bit in the back.... it is still alright, but not sure if they are too big or not. i got the size smaller (xxl that goes to 13.5) and they were too small. So you might have to try and few to get the right size.. but still none-the-less... a great sandal

I keep a pair at our lakehouse, a pair in my car in case I need a comfortable pair of sandals, and a pair that I wear everywhere! I have gotten my entire family hooked on these sandals! ** Tip, I like the men's small, they are wider and I wear a size 7 1/2 - 8 womens and the mens small fit perfect! ***second tip, if you think they are a bit stiff when you get them, wear them in the shower, they form to your feet quicker! from Central Florida on 8/7/2007The Rainbow double stacks are by far the most comfortable sandals I've ever owned. Both my wife and I have had a pair for over 6 months now and we both swear by them. They've held up very well, showing only very minor signs of wear. I do think they're a little expensive for what they are. However, my wife gave her first pair away to a stranger in need, and for her good deed I bought her and even better pair. I definitely recommend these sandals!!!!

I've worn many flip flops in my life and these are by far the most comfortable. I can't wait to wear them more and get them broken in. If you love wearing flip flops, you need to get some of these. Now, I am debating which color to get next.

I have had my pair of rainbow sandals for 3 years, and I truly wear them on a daily basis! they've seen more different conditions than I can even begin to explain. Still after thousands of miles on them, I wear them without any problems! Other makers of sandals should be embarassed by their products, and need to take a lesson from Rainbow!

from PA on 6/14/2007these sandals are the single most comfortable pair of sandals i have ever owned. sure, like all the other reviews say, it takes about 5 days to break them in, and you might get a little irritation between the toes, but after that, they are incredible. the sandals actually mold to your feet, its great! I have flat feet so i have been looking for a pair of sandals that give you good support, and the double stacks are great. so on a 1-10, they should be a 20, but to keep it in regulation i give them a 10.

Best sandals ever for comfort. If you're getting some chafing or your skin is getting raw, I'm not sure what you're doing with them--trying to run a marathon. Best, most stylish flip flops out there. Best running errands on hot day, or sitting at pub with friends after a soccer game or a MTB ride. Niceness.

from Chicago, IL on 5/18/2007Let me begin with saying, the second I put these on I fell in love! They could, quite possibly, be the most comfortable sandals I've ever owned. After several hours of use however one will notice some discomfort between the toe area as you being the process of breaking them in. I will say this much, these sandals have done more damage to my left foot than any other I've ever owned, rubbing away the skin between my first and second digit. I suspect this will go away with time as the sandals are broken in. They too seem to be slightly more narrow than other sandals I've owned in the past but not to the point where is causes discomfort.
Otherwise, great sandals!
